Project: Update of the Volumetric Conversion Calculations for the Mallee Prescribed Wells Area Water Allocation Plan (2009)

Summary: The way in which proposed changes to the Water Allocation Plan would impact irrigators in the Mallee Prescribed Wells Area was calculated and reported in this project. There were four specific tasks involving the conversion of existing area-based licences to volumetric allocations. The volumetric conversion calculations related to:
- usage over the formal assessment period (2004/05-2006/07);
- additional usage over 2007/08;
- sleeper licences; and
- the distribution among licence holders of the volumes associated with the sleeper licences.
