Project: A Feasibility Study on Nutrient Load Reductions for the Upper Cox Creek Catchment (2005)

Client: SA Water, Onkaparinga Catchment Water Management Board and EPA

Collaborators: Australian Water Environments and Social & Environmental Planning Partnerships

Summary: The upper areas of the Cox Creek catchment (Piccadilly Valley) have long been recognised as supplying a disproportionate amount of nutrient and sediment loads into the Onkaparinga River. This feasibility study was initiated to determine what cost effective strategies could be implemented to improve water quality and river health in the upper Cox Creek catchment. Because of the significant non-monetary benefits arising from the various engineering options, a multi-criteria analysis was undertaken to aid decision making.
