Client: National Water Commission

Collaborators: EDAW AECOM and Ann Shaw Rungie

Summary: Defined and reviewed were incentives, including educational, financial, compliance and reform incentives that led to innovation and mainstreaming Water Sensitive Urban (WSU) Development. As part of this disincentives to innovation which exist at technical, institutional, financial, regulatory and practical levels were presented and discussed. A series of recommendations were provided for the NWI parties including the Australian State and Territories and Commonwealth Governments and NWI Project Technical Advisory Committee to advance WSU Development on a trajectory towards creating water sensitive cities.
