Project: Economic Impact of the Port of Geelong (2010)
Client: Victorian Regional Channels Authority
Summary: The study measured the impact of port-related activity in the Port of Geelong ports on the economy of the Barwon region and Victoria for a representative year based on 2008/09 financial figures and trade volumes over the previous 9 years. Impacts were also estimated for forecast trade volumes out to the year 2029/30 for low, medium and high scenarios. Port impact was measured in terms of output, value added, household income and employment. Impacts were also measured for ten port users.
