Summary: To encourage and facilitate aquaculture industry development and consequent employment in the Limestone Coast, it is essential that investors have access to thoroughly researched and accurate information. To this end, the ‘Accent on Aquaculture’ project was established with the aim to help overcome this information constraint to aquaculture industry development. Detailed information was provided on regional economic impact analysis, land use capability assessment, infrastructure requirements, environmental considerations, value-adding and diversification opportunities, training requirements and market potential.
