EconSearch Completed Project

Project: Horticulture and Seafood Scorecard Information (2008-2009)

Client: Primary Industries and Resources South Australia

Summary: The Food ScoreCard is an important tool that can be used to evaluate the contribution made by the food and beverage industry to South Australia’s economy from production to consumption. This project involved collecting information from horticultural and seafood industry participants on the volume and value of farm production (or fish landed) and value-added processing. This information was compiled in a scorecard database with data recorded at the detailed commodity level within each of the two broad areas of horticulture and seafood.
