Project: Economic Impact of Roaring 40s Wind Farms: Construction Phase (2011)

Client: Roaring 40s Renewable Energy

Summary: The report prepared for Roaring 40s Renewable Energy aimed to estimate the economic impact on the local, South Australian and Australian economies of the construction phase for three wind farm projects, namely Stony Gap, Robertstown and Waterloo situated in the State’s Mid North. Results were provided in terms of gross regional product and employment for the Mid North region, South Australia and Australia and a sensitivity analysis was undertaken on the results.

Ecoscore Launch

3 February 2012: Carbon Business and EconSearch have collaborated to launch Ecoscore, a tool to quantify hidden Scope 3 emissions using economic modelling. Ecoscore was developed to meet new global Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards and traces environmental impact as far back as 11 tiers in the supply chain. Calculating Scope 3 emissions has traditionally been a complex, time-consuming and costly process. Ecoscore – one of only a handful of similar products in the world – simplifies the process.
